◉—- The mood was very unsettling for Naruto as he awaited Sakura’s furious response to his silly mistake, but instead she calmed him down. She approached him with a sanguine response that only made his previous resolve stronger. To say that he wasn’t surprised by her statement would be somewhat of a fib, because he had to admit that Sakura sure has matured way past him. If it were him, he would of made a bit of a fuss over this, but Sakura however handled it maturely.

Besides, it wasn’t in Naruto’s Nature to sulk about things for too long and thankfully Sakura’s response made it almost impossible for him to sulk anymore. It was going to be just like he planned; a team of Naruto bunshins. “You got it, Sakura-chan! And don’t worry, ye’r still the team leader, a team leader of my Shadow clones, dattebayo!“ He actually prepared individual names for each of his clones just so then Sakura wouldn’t have to call Naruto and have ten clones come out of nowhere to her aid. ”—and now that I think of it, this should be awesome! A mission with just you and me, hehe.

He didn’t notice this, but his lovestruck side was showing just a little. Ever since the last time they went on a mission together, he’s been yearning for a chance to go on another mission with her again. No sensei or other teammates, just the two of them. It gives them a chance to really dive into their full potential. Usually the team leader would always sanction Sakura as back up, but now she would be the head of it all, diving into combat and taking names. And to be quiet frank, Naruto adored seeing Sakura kick ass, it always made him feel like they were getting stronger together like she promised him so many years ago. And this mission would probably be the best, because she has come so far and it’s also a chance to do a little showing off too.

Unbeknownst to him, Sakura was totally rolling her eyes at his dorky statement. “—like the last time we went to go and find Sasuke.” A taboo topic indeed for the Uchiha was still on the run with no whereabouts as to what he was up to. Surely this topic would dampen the mood so he tried his best to divert it back to the mission on hand. “—eto, so…we gotta go see Tsunade-oba-chan and tell her about the change before we leave, right Sakura-chan—??"In the depths of his mind he wanted to take this mission as an excuse to look for Sasuke as well.It wasn’t often that they were allowed to leave the village on their own to take care of a mission without a Jounin or a Captain to force them to focus on the mission at hand. He would offer this suggestion to Sakura only after they had left the village and were half way into the mission. Yet for some reason his intuition was telling him something he was not to sure about.

—we gotta be quick otherwise she’ll be mad and you know better than anyone else what happens when she gets mad, dattebayo.

|☽❀☾|  As a gentle fit of laughter slipped betwixt glossed brims, orbs would continue to slowly follow her fellow companion’s visage. Allowing her cool; alabastrine features to soften a smidge. Albeit satisfied from the current change of plans, it still surprised Sakura at how maturely she handled the whole situation. After all, she wasn’t one to take certain things so lightly. Either the situation would end up as a good punch or two over the head or the typical acrimony she offers. However, it was completely vice-versa.

Perhaps this must have been the perks of maturing so progressively over the years? "Maa.. it does sound like a great idea! Not to mention that it’ll be even better with the new jutsu’s we learned.” The medic noted softly, crown gesturing a brief nod. Granted, she was actually relieved that it was just the two of them on this mission. In a way she found it rather peaceful that there was a smaller team instead of it being a numerous amount. Despite the lesser abilities that came at hand due to the current change, Sakura knew for a fact that everything would go perfectly. With the much vitality they so seemingly developed, that is, there was no doubt that this mission would turn out as a success.

“Besides, since when did we ever allow all else to fail? This mission will go great.” An even brighter grin would lift her lips, manicured extremities clasped cheerfully. Though, she couldn’t help but from blinking a few times once Naruto mentioned their former teammate. Someone of whom they both looked up to and counted on. Sure, perhaps the unexpected mention served for a frown to surface upon her features–but she never let anything regarding the past get to her so hastily. Besides, if she ever did allow the past to overtake her ego–there were clearly an ample amount of ways that she managed to overcome it. Even if it came to a feeble smile or simply drifting such remembrance’s away.

She was a ninja—a shinobi. Everyone learnt to move on and prosper into the wonderful ninja they became today. And that’s precisely what the medic put forth during the many years of being trained under Tsunade’s teachings. Suddenly, vision would pivot toward the blond from the inquiry. Pristine dactyl weaving their way through her locks with twin-folds parting to utter the following: “Ah yes we do. Perhaps we should head off now?” Ceasing all but a single pace to reassure him to follow in return, a faint crimson would grace the apples of her cheeks. Smirk finding its way back upon her porcelain facade once more.

“–I’ll be sure to explain this whole situation to Tsunade-shishou thoroughly. Just so she doesn’t take it all the wrong way.”
